Wow...Amazing. I'm glad everything worked out. I talked to a tourism friend of my down that way and she told me about Robert Morris. He was the bother of Gouverneur Morris who was an early proponent of the Canal. Robert was one of the workers on Lock 60, who died tragically when he slipped into the ditch and the side wall collapsed on him in 1821. When the new canal was built and lock 60 abandoned, strange things began happening to boaters...
